Method 1: Disable Local Users and Groups (lusrmgr.msc) Using Group Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run box. Type gpedit.msc<\/strong> and hit Enter.<\/li>\n
  2. Navigate to the following path on the left side pane of Local Group Policy Editor:\n

    User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Microsoft Management Console -> Restricted\/Permitted snap-ins<\/code><\/li>\n

  3. Now, on the right side window, double-click on the “Local Users and Groups<\/strong>” setting to modify.\n

    3. On the right side pane, right-click in the blank area and select New<\/strong> -> DWORD (32-bit) Value<\/strong>. Name it Restrict_Run<\/strong>, and give it a value of 1.\n
