Starting with Windows 10 Creators Update, there is a new feature called Storage Sense which can automatically free up disk space on your computer, by deleting temporary files and content in your recycle bin older than 30 days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Automatically Delete Temporary Files with Windows 10 Storage Sense?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/6-ways-to-open-pc-settings-in-windows-10\/\" target=\"_blank\">Open the Settings app<\/a> by pressing Windows + I keyboard shortcut, and then click the <strong>System<\/strong> category.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/system.png\" alt=\"system\" width=\"600\" height=\"423\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9521\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>Storage<\/strong> tab on the left. You&#8217;ll see the new <strong>Storage sense<\/strong> feature on the right. It&#8217;s disabled by default, so switch the toggle to <strong>On<\/strong> to start using it.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/storage-sense.png\" alt=\"storage-sense\" width=\"600\" height=\"438\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9522\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you want to change what Storage Sense cleans up, click the &#8220;<strong>Change how we free up space<\/strong>&#8221; link.<\/li>\n<li>On the next page you can choose to &#8220;<strong>Delete temporary files that my apps aren&#8217;t using<\/strong>&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>Delete files that have been in the recycle bin for over 30 days<\/strong>&#8220;.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/free-up-windows-10-disk-space.png\" alt=\"free-up-windows-10-disk-space\" width=\"524\" height=\"430\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9523\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\tA little further down the page, there&#8217;s also an option that allows you to manually run a disk cleanup.
