In this tutorial we&#8217;ll explain how to export and import firewall policy in Windows 10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 1: Using Windows Firewall with Advanced Security<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just press the Windows key + R shortcut, then type <strong>wf.msc<\/strong> in the Run command box and press Enter.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/wf-msc.png\" alt=\"wf-msc\" width=\"401\" height=\"207\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This will open the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security MMC snap-in. Under the <strong>Actions<\/strong> pane in the right side, you can click the corresponding link to export policy, import policy, or restore default policy.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/windows-firewall.png\" alt=\"windows-firewall\" width=\"600\" height=\"315\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8769\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Just follow the step-by-step GUI wizard to export\/import your firewall policy. The firewall policy will be exported to a single binary file with the <strong>.wfw<\/strong> extension.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 2: Using Command Prompt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you prefer the command line, you can also backup or restore Windows Firewall rules using the netsh command. Here&#8217;s how:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/open-command-prompt-in-windows-10\/\" target=\"_blank\">Open the Command Prompt in administrator mode<\/a>. Type the following command and press Enter.
