Expand <strong>System Tools<\/strong>, then <strong>Local Users and Groups<\/strong>, then <strong>Users<\/strong>. Right-click on your local account and select <strong>Properties<\/strong> from the context menu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8612\" alt=\"local-account-properties\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/local-account-properties.png\" width=\"591\" height=\"297\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This will open the Properties dialog box. Uncheck the &#8220;<strong>Password never expires<\/strong>&#8221; box and you&#8217;ll then find the &#8220;<strong>User must change password at next logon<\/strong>&#8221; option is enabled.
