Reboot your computer for the change to take effect.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method 2: Turn On \/ Off UAC in WIndows 10 via Registry Editor<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open Registry Editor by pressing Windows + R key combination, type in <strong>regedit<\/strong> and press Enter.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/regedit-via-run.png\" alt=\"regedit-via-run\" width=\"399\" height=\"206\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7481\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If prompted by UAC, click on <strong>Yes<\/strong> to continue.<\/li>\n<li>In the left-side pane of Registry Editor, navigate to the following key:<br \/>\n<code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\System<\/code><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/EnableLUA.png\" alt=\"EnableLUA\" width=\"590\" height=\"280\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8564\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\tIn right-side pane, double-click <strong>EnableLUA<\/strong> to modify.<\/li>\n<li>In the Value data box, type 0 if you want to turn off UAC, or type 1 to turn on UAC.
