In this tutorial we&#8217;ll show you 3 ways to remove \/ disable Action Center from the taskbar in Windows 10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 1: Disable Windows 10 Action Center Using the Settings app<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the Settings app either by clicking its icon in the Start Menu or pressing Windows + I keyboard shortcut.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/open-settings-app.png\" alt=\"open-settings-app\" width=\"484\" height=\"519\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7855\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Personalization<\/strong>.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/personalization.png\" alt=\"personalization\" width=\"600\" height=\"417\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7856\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Taskbar<\/strong> from the left-hand navigation, and then click the link titled &#8220;<strong>Turn system icons on or off<\/strong>&#8220;.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/turn-system-icons-on-off.png\" alt=\"turn-system-icons-on-off\" width=\"600\" height=\"391\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7857\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Toggle the switch against <strong>Action Center<\/strong> to the <strong>Off<\/strong> position. On the right, click the &#8220;<strong>Turn system icons on or off<\/strong>&#8221; link.<\/li>\n<li>To remove Action Center icon from taskbar, toggle <strong>Action Center<\/strong> to <strong>Off<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method 2: Disable Windows 10 Action Center Using Group Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/open-local-group-policy-editor-in-windows-10\/\" target=\"_blank\">Open the Local Group Policy Editor<\/a>. Navigate to: <strong>User Configuration<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Administrative Templates<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Start Menu and Taskbar<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>On the right-hand pane, find the &#8220;<strong>Remove Notifications and Action Center<\/strong>&#8221; policy and double-click it.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/remove-action-center-gpo.png\" alt=\"remove-action-center-gpo\" width=\"600\" height=\"291\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7859\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>Enabled<\/strong> radio button, and click <strong>OK<\/strong> to disable the Action Center.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/remove-notification-action-center.png\" alt=\"remove-notification-action-center\" width=\"600\" height=\"554\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7860\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Just restart your system to make the changes take effect.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method 3: Disable Windows 10 Action Center Using Registry Editor<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/6-ways-to-open-registry-editor-in-windows-10\/\" target=\"_blank\">Open the Registry Editor<\/a>. Navigate to the following key:<br \/>\n<code>HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Explorer<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Right-click any empty space on the right pane and select <strong>New<\/strong> &gt; <strong>DWORD (32-bit) Value<\/strong>. Name it <strong>DisableNotificationCenter<\/strong>. The Action Center icon has completely disappeared from the taskbar.
