Method 1: Remove Network Icon on Login Screen Using Group Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Press the Windows logo key + R and type gpedit.msc<\/strong> in the Run box. Press Enter to open the Local Group Policy Editor.<\/li>\n
  2. In the left-hand pane, drill down to Computer Configuration<\/strong> -> Administrative Templates<\/strong> -> System<\/strong> -> Logon<\/strong>. On the right, find the “Do not display network selection UI<\/strong>” item and double-click it.\n

  3. In the appeared window, click Enabled<\/strong> and then click OK<\/strong>.\n

  4. Exit the Local Group Policy Editor and restart your computer. You’ll find that the Network icon is not displayed at the login screen or lock screen any longer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Method 2: Remove Network Icon on Login Screen Using Registry Hack<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Press the Windows logo key + R and type regedit<\/strong> in the Run box. Press Enter to open the Registry Editor.<\/li>\n
    2. In the left pane of Registry Editor, navigate to the following key:
      \nHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\System<\/code><\/li>\n
    3. Right-click on the System<\/strong> subkey on the left pane, then select New<\/strong> -> DWORD (32-bit) Value<\/strong>. Name the newly created registry DWORD (REG_DWORD) as DontDisplayNetworkSelectionUI<\/strong>. Double-click on it and then change the Data Value from 0 to 1.\n
