Click <strong>Network and Sharing Center<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/network-sharing-center.png\" alt=\"network-sharing-center\" width=\"570\" height=\"289\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the left pane of Network and Sharing Center, click the <strong>Change advanced sharing settings<\/strong> link.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/change-sharing-settings.png\" alt=\"change-sharing-settings\" width=\"600\" height=\"372\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7226\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now you can find 2 different profile: <strong>Private<\/strong>, <strong>Guest or public<\/strong>. Expand the options of the network profile that you want to change, select the <strong>Turn on network discovery<\/strong> option to enable network discovery, or select the &#8220;<strong>Turn off network discovery<\/strong>&#8221; option to disable network discovery. <strong>Click Save changes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/turn-on-off-network-discovery.png\" alt=\"turn-on-off-network-discovery\" width=\"600\" height=\"460\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7227\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If prompted by UAC, then click on <strong>Yes<\/strong>. If network discovery is turned off, your computer won&#8217;t be able to view the other connected devices, and conversely, won&#8217;t be visible to the other devices as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 2: Turn On \/ Off Network Discovery from Command Prompt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To get started, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/open-command-prompt-in-windows-10\/\">Open the Command Prompt in administrator mode<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Copy and paste the following command into the Command Prompt and press Enter.
