When the PC is turned on again, the content of the hiberfil.sys file is restored into the RAM and this will resume everything (including your opened files and running programs) where you left off. This tutorial will demonstrate you how to enable or disable Hibernate in Windows 10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 1: Enable \/ Disable Hibernate Using Command Prompt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Open an elevated Command Prompt by pressing Win + X and selecting <strong>Command Prompt (Admin)<\/strong> from the WinX menu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/winx-menu.png\" alt=\"winx-menu\" width=\"263\" height=\"402\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6872\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Type the following command and press Enter.
