In this tutorial we&#8217;ll show you 5 ways to delete a local account in Windows 10, through Control Panel, Local Users and Groups, Netplwiz, Command Prompt, Settings Charm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> <em>If you&#8217;re currently logged in to the local account you want to delete, log off and sign in with another account in order to remove it. Deleting a user account requires you to log on as administrator, and the built-in Administrator account is undeletable.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 1: Delete Local Account Using Control Panel<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>First of all you need to access the Control Panel. Press the Windows key + X and then select <strong>Control Panel<\/strong> from the WinX menu.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/winx.png\" alt=\"winx\" width=\"263\" height=\"401\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6450\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>View by<\/strong> option at the top right of the Control Panel. Type <strong>netplwiz<\/strong> and press Enter.
