The methods differ depending on the manufacturer of your computer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 1: For HP computers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how to turn off Caps Lock notification on HP computers:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the Windows logo key + R to bring up the Run box. Type <strong>regedit<\/strong> and hit Enter.<\/li>\n<li>After the Registry Editor opens, navigate to:<br \/>\n<code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Hewlett-Packard\\HP HotKey Support<\/code><\/li>\n<li>In right pane, double-click on the <strong>CapsLockOSD<\/strong> entry and set its value to 0.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method 2: For Dell computers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dell Quickset is supposedly a helpful little program that helps you keep track of your power management and other system settings. To disable Caps Lock notification on Dell computer, you can uninstall Quickset, or make a registry change by following the steps below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the Windows logo key + R to bring up the Run box. Type <strong>regedit<\/strong> and hit Enter.<\/li>\n<li>After the Registry Editor opens, navigate to:<br \/>\n<code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Dell Computer Corporation\\QuickSet<\/code><\/li>\n<li>In right pane, double-click on the <strong>QuickSetControl<\/strong> entry and set its value to 1.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method 3: For Lenovo computers<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the Control Panel. Set the <b>View by<\/b> option to <strong>Large icons<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <b>Display<\/b> icon, then click on <b>Change display settings<\/b> on left panel.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <b>Advanced settings<\/b>, then click on <b>On-Screen Display<\/b> tab.<\/li>\n<li>Check <b>Enable on-screen display<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Under &#8220;<strong>Indicator settings for NumLock and CapsLock<\/strong>&#8221; section, look for &#8220;<strong>While the numeric lock or caps lock is ON<\/strong>&#8221; section, choose the &#8220;<strong>Show the indicator for a few seconds<\/strong>&#8221; option.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/disable-caps-lock-indicator.png\" alt=\"disable-caps-lock-indicator\" width=\"428\" height=\"571\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6340\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click <b>Apply<\/b>, then click <b>OK<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method 4:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Caps Lock notification might be handled by BlueTooth (BTTray.exe) process. You must edit the following registry entries to ged rid of this ugly alert:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the Windows logo key + R to bring up the Run box. Type <strong>regedit<\/strong> and hit Enter.<\/li>\n<li>When the Registry Editor opens, navigate to:<br \/>\n<code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Widcomm\\BTConfig\\General<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Change the value of <strong>KeyIndication<\/strong> from 1 to 0.<\/li>\n<li>Reboot your computer and the Caps Lock pop-up notification is gone!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method 5:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a common method to decrease the display time for Caps Lock notification:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open Control Panel. Set the <strong>View by<\/strong> option to <strong>Large icons<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Ease of Access Center<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8220;<strong>Make it easier to focus on tasks<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to the &#8220;<strong>Adjust time limits and flashing visuals<\/strong>&#8221; section, Check the checkbox to &#8220;<strong>Turn off all unnecessary animations (when possible)<\/strong>&#8220;.
