If you are unable to lock your Windows system or want to disable the computer lock option completely, here&#8217;s how you can enable \/ disable lock workstation feature in Windows 10, 8, 7 and Vista. When the lock feature is disabled, you will be unable to lock your computer by either pressing Windows + L, Ctrl + Alt + Del, or clicking the Lock option from the Start menu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/account-lock-option1.png\" alt=\"account-lock-option\" width=\"430\" height=\"475\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6134\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Enable \/ Disable Lock Workstation Feature?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the Windows + R key combination to bring up a run box, type <strong>gpedit.msc<\/strong> and hit Enter.<\/li>\n<li>When the Local Group Policy Editor opens navigate to:<br \/>\n\t<code>User Configuration\\System\\Ctrl+Alt+Del Options<\/code><\/li>\n<li>On the right hand side you should see a setting called &#8220;<strong>Remove Lock Computer<\/strong>&#8220;. Double-click on it.<\/li>\n<li>Then change the radio button over to <strong>Enabled<\/strong> if you want to disable the lock workstation feature.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/ctrl-alt-del-options.png\" alt=\"ctrl-alt-del-options\" width=\"591\" height=\"382\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6133\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To enable this feature later, just change it to <strong>Disabled<\/strong> or <strong>Not Configured<\/strong>. Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to save your changes.<\/li>\n<li>Now you will need to enforce the updated policy to take effect on your PC, to do this press the Windows + R key combination, when the Run box open run:<br \/>\n\t<code>gpupdate \/force<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Once you press enter you Local Group Policy will be automatically updated.
