Here is a simple way to permanently remove \/ clear recent folders\/files from Windows 10 Explorer:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open File Explorer. It includes two sections: Frequent folders and Recent files.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click on the recent folder or file you want to delete, and select <strong>Remove from Quick access<\/strong>.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/remove-from-quick-access.png\" alt=\"remove-from-quick-access\" width=\"600\" height=\"340\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5678\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Option 2: Hide Recent Files from Windows 10 Explorer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This method allows you to hide all recent folders\/files from appearing in Quick Access of Windows 10 File Explorer. Here&#8217;s how:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In File Explorer, go to the <strong>View<\/strong> ribbon section and click the <strong>Options<\/strong> button.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/file-explorer.png\" alt=\"file-explorer\" width=\"600\" height=\"340\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5679\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once you&#8217;re in the Folder Options window, click <strong>General<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<li>Under Privacy at the bottom of the window, uncheck &#8220;<em>Show recently used files in Quick access<\/em>&#8221; and &#8220;<em>Show recently used folders in Quick access<\/em>&#8220;.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/folder-options.png\" alt=\"folder-options\" width=\"382\" height=\"475\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5680\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Apply<\/strong> and <strong>OK<\/strong>.
