Since Windows 10, there&#8217;s no support for turning Guest on in the Control Panel Accounts applet, nor in the PC Settings app. Even if you&#8217;ve found a way to activate the guest account, guest is still missing from the sign-in screen. Here we&#8217;ll show you how to enable the hidden guest account in Windows 10 and make it appear in Windows 10 sign-in screen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Enable the Hidden Guest Account in Windows 10?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the Windows logo key + X to open the WinX menu in the lower-left corner of the screen. Click <strong>Command Prompt(Admin)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Type the following command and press Enter to enable the hidden guest account:<br \/>\n\t<code>net user guest \/active:yes<\/code><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/enable-windows-10-guest.png\" alt=\"enable-windows-10-guest\" width=\"562\" height=\"212\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5644\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>At this point you are still unable to access the guest account which will not be shown at Windows 10 login screen. There is a group policy that prevents guest from logging on locally and you have to fix it.<\/li>\n<li>Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run box. Type <strong>gpedit.msc<\/strong> and hit Enter.<\/li>\n<li>In the Group Policy Editor, navigate to the following policy:<br \/>\n\t<code>Computer Configuration &gt; Windows Settings &gt; Security Settings &gt; Local Policies &gt; User Rights Assignment<\/code><\/li>\n<li>On the right-side, look for the policy labelled &#8220;<strong>Deny log on locally<\/strong>&#8221; and double-click on the same to open its properties.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/deny-guest-logon.png\" alt=\"deny-guest-logon\" width=\"600\" height=\"322\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5645\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select the Guest account and click <strong>Remove<\/strong> and then <strong>OK<\/strong>.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/deny-log-on-locally.png\" alt=\"deny-log-on-locally\" width=\"417\" height=\"507\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5646\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Now you&#8217;ve successfully enabled the hidden guest account in Windows 10.
