However, that option is disabled when your computer is joined to a domain. Fortunately, you can still set up Windows to auto login to your domain account using a registry trick.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Set up Windows to Auto Login to Domain Account?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the Windows key + R to bring up the Run box. Type <strong>regedit<\/strong> and hit Enter.<\/li>\n<li>When the Registry Editor opens, navigate to the following registry location:<br \/>\n<code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion\\Winlogon<\/code><\/li>\n<li>In the right pane, you need to modify or create each of these registry entries: <code>DefaultUserName<\/code>, <code>DefaultPassword<\/code>, <code>DefaultDomainName<\/code>, <code>AutoAdminLogon<\/code>. If any of these keys are missing, create a new String Value (REG_SZ).<\/li>\n<li>Double-click the <code>DefaultUserName<\/code> entry, type the user name to log on with, and then click OK.<\/li>\n<li>Double-click the <code>DefaultPassword<\/code> entry, type the password for the user account under the value data box, and then click OK.<\/li>\n<li>Double-click on <code>DefaultDomainName<\/code>, and specify the domain name of the user account. If it&#8217;s local user, specify local host name.<\/li>\n<li>Double-click the <code>AutoAdminLogon<\/code> entry, set <code>AutoAdminLogon<\/code> to 1 to enable the auto logon. If <code>AutoLogonCount<\/code> or <code>AutoLogonChecked<\/code> exists, delete it.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/auto-login-to-domain-account.png\" alt=\"auto-login-to-domain-account\" width=\"600\" height=\"265\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5204\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once those four options are created and altered, you&#8217;re good to reboot and from now on every time you start Windows it will automatically login to your specified domain account!
