The file would appear to download but then after the last bit was done, it would fail and no further indicators of what the problem was.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/couldnt-be-downloaded.png\" alt=\"couldnt-be-downloaded\" width=\"500\" height=\"263\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4918\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I contacted Microsoft support and they suggested me to install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. But it also doesn&#8217;t solve the problem. Eventually I figured out a way to fix the problem. Here&#8217;s how:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>From Internet Explorer main menu, click on <strong>Tools<\/strong> and choose <strong>Internet Options<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Advanced<\/strong> tab.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/dont-save-encrypted-pages.png\" alt=\"don&#039;t-save-encrypted-pages\" width=\"423\" height=\"542\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4923\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Check the &#8220;<strong>Do not save encrypted files to disk<\/strong>&#8221; option, and then click OK.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Restart your Internet Explorer and you should then be able to download your application without any issue.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you&#8217;re using Internet Explorer, you might frequently experience an issue with your download: &#8220;This program couldn&#8217;t be downloaded&#8221;.
