Here&#8217;s how to turn off \/ remove the drop shadow effect in Windows 10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Turn Off Drop Shadow Effect in Windows 10?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>From Windows Explorer, click on <strong>Desktop<\/strong> shortcut in the left navigation pane. Right-click on <strong>This PC<\/strong> and select <strong>Properties<\/strong>.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/windows-10-explorer.png\" alt=\"windows-10-explorer\" width=\"600\" height=\"340\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4478\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>When the System window opens, click on <strong>Advanced system settings<\/strong>.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/advanced-system-settings.png\" alt=\"advanced-system-settings\" width=\"596\" height=\"364\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4479\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Advanced<\/strong> tab and click the <strong>Settings<\/strong> button under the Performance section.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/system-properties.png\" alt=\"system-properties\" width=\"426\" height=\"475\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4480\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>From here, under the <strong>Visual Effects<\/strong> tab, find and uncheck the box labeled &#8220;<strong>Show shadows under windows<\/strong>&#8220;.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/hide-shadows-under-window.png\" alt=\"hide-shadows-under-window\" width=\"363\" height=\"535\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4481\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>When you click <strong>OK<\/strong>, it will immediately remove the drop shadow effect from window borders in Windows 10, and you&#8217;ll get a clean flat interface.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you have used Windows 10 for some time, you probably notice that the drop shadows on applications are really big and and suspiciously similar to the ones in Mac OS X.
