One way of adding an additional layer of security to your computer is by enabling secure logon. By enabling secure logon, users are required to press Ctrl+Alt+Del before they can enter their credentials and log on. However, if you&#8217;re tried of pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del every time you turn on the computer, there are 3 easy options to disable the secure logon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 1: Disable Secure Logon in the User Accounts Applet<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press Windows key + R to bring up the Run box. Type <b>netplwiz<\/b> or <code>Control Userpasswords2<\/code> and press Enter.<\/li>\n<li>When the User Accounts applet opens, click on <strong>Advanced<\/strong> tab.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/secure-logon.png\" alt=\"secure-logon\" width=\"477\" height=\"516\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3759\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Uncheck the <strong>Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete<\/strong> checkbox. Click OK. The next time you start the computer it will boot directly to the login credential dialog box, without prompting your to press Ctrl+Alt+Del.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Option 2: Disable Secure Logon through Group Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press Windows key + R to bring up the Run box. Type <b>secpol.msc<\/b> and press Enter to open the Local Security Policy Editor.<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to Security Settings -&gt; Local Policies -&gt; Security Options.<\/li>\n<li>In the right pane, double click on <strong>Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select and set the radio button of <strong>Enabled<\/strong>.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/disable-ctrl-alt-del.png\" alt=\"disable-ctrl-alt-del\" width=\"600\" height=\"266\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6668\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Save the policy change by clicking OK.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Option 3: Disable Secure Logon through Windows Registry<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press Windows key + R to bring up the Run box. Type <b>regedit<\/b> and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.<\/li>\n<li>In the left pane of Registry Editor, navigate to the following key:\n<p><code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\System<\/code><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>You should see a DWORD (32-bit) entry named <strong>DisableCAD<\/strong> in the right pane.
