If you experience such issues with your Windows 10 laptop or tablet, here are some useful tips to get your battery back to charging when it&#8217;s plugged in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Part 1: Restart Battery Device or Update Driver<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press and hold the <strong>Windows<\/strong> key and then press <strong>R<\/strong> once, enter <strong>devmgmt.msc<\/strong> and click <strong>OK<\/strong> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/8-ways-to-open-device-manager-in-windows-10\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">launch Device Manager<\/a>.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/devmgmt.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"399\" height=\"206\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10526\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>Expand the <strong>Batteries<\/strong> category, right-click on the <strong>Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery<\/strong> and select <strong>Disable<\/strong> from the pop-up menu. Right-click on the <strong>Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery<\/strong> and select <strong>Enable<\/strong>. If your battery still doesn&#8217;t charge, try to select the &#8220;<strong>Update driver<\/strong>&#8221; option and let Windows search automatically for newer driver.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Part 2: Using the Power Troubleshooter<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the Windows key + I to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/6-ways-to-open-pc-settings-in-windows-10\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">open the Settings app<\/a>.
