Method 1: Disable Extensions in Microsoft Edge Using GPO<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Press the Windows Key + R together, type in gpedit.msc<\/strong> and hit Enter to open Local Group Policy Editor<\/a>.\n

  2. Navigate to: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Microsoft Edge<\/code>. In the right pane you will see the Allow Extensions<\/strong> policy. Double-click on it to modify.\n

    1. Press the Windows Key + R together, type in regedit<\/strong> and hit Enter to open Registry Editor<\/a>.\n

    2. In the left pane of Registry Editor, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft<\/code>. Right-click on the “Microsoft” key to create a new key named MicrosoftEdge<\/strong>. Next, right-click on the newly created key and create a new key named Extensions<\/strong>.\n

    3. Right-click on any blank area in the right pane to create a DWORD (32-bit) Value named ExtensionsEnabled<\/strong>, and make sure the value data is set to 0.\n
