In this tutorial we&#8217;ll show you different ways to turn on Focus Assist to avoid distracting notifications in Windows 10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 1: Enable Focus Assist Using Action Center<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Right-click the <strong>Action Center<\/strong> icon located on the right-hand side of the taskbar, and then select <strong>Focus assist<\/strong>. It lets you choose one of the following modes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Off<\/em> \u2014 Disable the Focus Assist feature, and you&#8217;ll get all notifications from apps and contacts.<\/li>\n<li><em>Priority only<\/em> \u2014 See only notifications from the priority list. The rest will go straight to action center.<\/li>\n<li><em>Alarms only<\/em> \u2014 Suppress all notifications, except for alarms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/focus-assist-menu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"233\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14743\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, you can also enable Focus Assist by left-clicking the <strong>Action Center<\/strong> icon on the taskbar.
