By default, Windows 10 will automatically sync your settings (including desktop themes, passwords, language preferences) across all your devices you sign into with the same Microsoft account. Method 1: Turn off Password Sync from the Settings App<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Press the Windows key + I to open up the Settings app. Click on Accounts<\/strong>.\n

  2. Select Sync your settings<\/strong> in the left-hand menu. You can either disable syncing completely, or selectively turn off individual sync settings. Here we choose the Password<\/strong> option to toggle it off.\n

  3. Now, all your stored credentials in your browsers and Windows apps will not be synced to other devices.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Method 2: Turn off Password Sync Using Group Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Open the Local Group Policy Editor<\/a> and navigate to:
      \nComputer Configuration\\Administrative Templates\\Windows Components\\Sync your settings<\/code><\/p>\n

      Next, double-click the “Do not sync passwords<\/strong>” policy on the right side.<\/li>\n

    2. Select Enabled<\/strong>. Uncheck the “Allow users to turn passwords syncing on<\/strong>” option if you also want to disable the “Password” sync setting in the Settings app.\n

    3. Click Apply<\/strong> and then OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Method 3: Turn off Password Sync Using Registry Editor<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. Open Registry Editor<\/a> and browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\SettingSync<\/code>. Right-click on blank area in the right pane, and select New<\/strong> -> DWORD(32-bit) Value<\/strong>.\n

      2. Name the new DWORD value DisableCredentialsSettingSync<\/strong>. Next, double-click it to modify.\n

      3. You’ll see the Edit DWORD (32-Bit) Value dialog box. Enter 2 into the Value data and click OK<\/strong>.\n

      4. Use the same method to create another DWORD DisableCredentialsSettingSyncUserOverride<\/strong>, and set its value data to 1.\n
