As I almost never use the list of all apps, I prefer to have the list collapsed. In this tutorial we&#8217;ll show you how to hide the All apps list from Windows 10 Start Menu, or even disable the &#8220;All apps&#8221; button as well.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/show-all-apps-in-start-menu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"562\" height=\"516\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13102\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 1: Hide All Apps List from Start Menu via the Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the <strong>Windows<\/strong> key + <strong>I<\/strong> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/6-ways-to-open-pc-settings-in-windows-10\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">open the Settings app<\/a>, click the <strong>Personalization<\/strong> category and then select the <strong>Start<\/strong> tab in the left sidebar.<\/li>\n<li>You&#8217;ll see the &#8220;<strong>Show app list in Start menu<\/strong>&#8221; option in the right-side pane. If you turn it off, you&#8217;ll see only live tiles in the Start Menu.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/show-app-list-in-start-menu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"452\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13103\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>However, you can still click the &#8220;<strong>All apps<\/strong>&#8221; button at the top left of the Start Menu to expand the apps list you&#8217;ve hidden.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/all-apps-button-in-start-menu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"392\" height=\"516\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13104\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method 2: Using GPO to Hide or Disable All Apps List in Start Menu<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/open-local-group-policy-editor-in-windows-10\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Open the Local Group Policy Editor<\/a> and browse to:<br \/>\n<code>User Configuration -&gt; Administrative Templates -&gt; Start Menu and Taskbar<\/code><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/remove-programs-list-from-start-menu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"601\" height=\"366\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13105\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then, double-click on the policy &#8220;<strong>Remove All Programs list from the Start menu<\/strong>&#8221; appearing in the right pane.\n<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Enabled<\/strong> option.
