Method 1: Open Notepad as Administrator via Cortana Search<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Type “notepad<\/strong>” in the Cortana search box on the taskbar. Right-click on the program that appears in the search results, and select “Run as administrator<\/strong>“.\n

  2. When the User Account Control dialog appears, click Yes<\/strong>. It will launch Notepad as administrator rights.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Method 2: Create a Desktop Shortcut to Always Open Notepad as Administrator<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Right-click on the empty space on the desktop, and select New<\/strong> -> Shortcut<\/strong>.\n<\/li>\n
    2. In the Create Shortcut wizard, type in the full path of the Notepad executable file, and click Next<\/strong>.
