Method 1: Disable Changing Geographic Location Using Group Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Press Windows Key + R to bring up the Run command, type gpedit.msc<\/strong> and press Enter.\n

  2. In the Local Group Policy Editor window, expand to the following location:
    \nComputer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Locale Services<\/code><\/p>\n

    \tThen double-click on Disallow changing of geographic location<\/strong> in the right pane.\n<\/li>\n

  3. In order to disable changing location in Windows 10, select Enabled<\/strong> and click OK<\/strong>.\n

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Control Panel\\International<\/code><\/p>\n

      \tIf both “Control Panel<\/em>” and “International<\/em>” keys don’t exist, you have to create them manually.<\/li>\n

    2. In the right pane, create a new 32-bit DWORD value as PreventGeoIdChange<\/strong>, and set its value data to 1 if you want to disallow changing of geographic location in Windows 10.\n
