When the drop-down menu appears, the option labeled <strong>New InPrivate window<\/strong> will appear grayed out.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method 2: Disable Microsoft Edge InPrivate Browsing via Registry Editor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re using Windows 10 Home, the Local Group Policy Editor is inaccessible, but you can still disable Microsoft Edge InPrivate Browsing using the Registry Editor.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/6-ways-to-open-registry-editor-in-windows-10\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Open the Registry Editor<\/a> and navigate to the following location:<br \/>\n<code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Right-click on <strong>Microsoft<\/strong> key in the left pane and choose <strong>New<\/strong> -&gt; <strong>Key<\/strong>, and name it <strong>MicrosoftEdge<\/strong>. Now right-click on the newly created key <strong>MicrosoftEdge<\/strong> and choose <strong>New<\/strong> \u2013&gt; <strong>Key<\/strong>, and name it <strong>Main<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>Main<\/strong> key in the left, and then right-click empty space in the right pane. Open Microsoft Edge. The New InPrivate window option should be greyed out.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you want to turn on Microsoft Edge InPrivate browsing again, just following the same instructions above.
