The following method works with Windows 10, 8, 7 and Windows Server.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Change RDP Port for Windows Remote Desktop Connection?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run command box. Type <strong>regedit<\/strong> and press Enter.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/regedit.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"399\" height=\"206\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9183\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>On the left-side of Registry Editor, navigate to the following key:<br \/>\n<code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\TerminalServer\\WinStations\\RDP-Tcp\\PortNumber<\/code><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/rdp-port-number.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"608\" height=\"294\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10384\" \/><\/p>\n<p> \tScroll down on the right until you see the <strong>PortNumber<\/strong> value, and then double-click it to modify.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Decimal<\/strong>, and type in the new port number that you want to use for remote desktop and click <strong>OK<\/strong>.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/change-rdp-port.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10385\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Close the Registry Editor and reboot the computer.
