In this tutorial we&#8217;ll show you 2 simple ways to import EFS certificate into Windows 10, 8 and 7, so you can regain access to your EFS encrypted files.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 1: Import EFS Certificate into Windows Using Certificate Import Wizard<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Right-click on your EFS certificate (.pfx) in Windows Explorer, and then select <strong>Install PFX<\/strong> from the context menu.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/install-pfx.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"566\" height=\"487\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10267\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>When the Certificate Import Wizard opens, click <strong>Next<\/strong>.\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.top-password.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/certificate-import-wizard.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"535\" height=\"450\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10268\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>Confirm the EFS certificate file with the .PFX extension is entered in the <em>File name<\/em> field. Select the box &#8220;<strong>Mark this key as exportable. This will allow you to back up or transport your keys at a later time<\/strong>&#8220;.
